# Plans and billing

> What the Free, Pro and Scale plans include, and how to change, downgrade or cancel your plan.

Galantis Marketing has three plans: Free, Pro and Scale. You pay Galantis a flat monthly price for your plan. WhatsApp messages are billed separately, by Meta.

Every new workspace starts on Free, and choosing a plan is optional: you move to Pro or Scale when you need more.

Free costs \$0, Pro \$59 per month, Scale \$179 per month. Prices are in USD. There is no trial on any plan: Free has no end date.

## What each plan includes

On Free: up to 3 automations running at once and back-in-stock alerts for up to 250 subscribers. Pro and Scale have no such limits.

The automation limit counts the automations you created that are running. **Built-in automations** (order confirmation, shipping and delivery updates) are never counted.

## Every plan includes

* **Shared team inbox**: answer customers together, with unlimited members.
* **Deep Shopify integration**: abandoned-checkout recovery, back-in-stock alerts and Judge.me reviews.
* **Order updates on WhatsApp**: confirmation, shipping and delivery, never counted as automations.
* **WhatsApp Flows**: forms and experiences completed inside the chat.
* **Honest analytics**: every figure shows its window, exclusions and freshness.
* **EU data residency**: your customer data is stored in the EU.
* **Consent you can prove**: opt-ins recorded per topic, every opt-out honoured.

Order confirmations, and refund and cancellation notices, need no consent. Shipping and delivery updates go only to contacts who said yes to Shipping updates; the Shopify sync does not give that yes. See [How consent works](/galantis/marketing/consent/how-consent-works).

## Change your plan

<Steps>
  <Step title="Open Plan & billing">
    Go to **Settings** → **Plan & billing**. You can also open **Plan & billing** from the workspace menu.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Choose a plan">
    Select **Choose plan**, select the plan you want and select **Continue to checkout**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Confirm with your payment provider">
    In **Confirm your subscription**, select **Subscribe**. A paid plan is billed every month until you cancel. Galantis takes you to Shopify or Stripe to confirm it.
  </Step>
</Steps>

Which payment provider you use depends on how your workspace started. A workspace created by installing Galantis from the Shopify App Store pays through Shopify and never sees Stripe. A workspace created on the Galantis website pays through Stripe; there, **Manage payment method** opens Stripe's portal.

When the change takes effect:

* A bigger plan starts once Shopify or Stripe confirms the payment. Until then, your workspace stays on the plan it is on.
* A smaller plan starts at the end of the billing period you have paid for. The plan you are on stays active until then.
* Choosing Free while a paid plan is running takes you through the same steps as cancelling (see [Cancel your plan](#cancel-your-plan)). The switch takes effect at the end of the current period, and your data stays. You are not charged. To keep your paid plan, select **Keep my plan** in the **Cancel plan** section before the period ends. On a workspace that pays through Stripe, this opens Stripe's billing portal, and **Choose plan** is not shown until the switch is taken back or the period ends. After the period ends, you can choose a paid plan again whenever you want.

<Info>
  If a payment does not go through, **Plan & billing** tells you how to fix it. On a workspace that pays through Stripe, select **Update payment method**. On a workspace that pays through Shopify, choose your plan again with **Choose plan**, which gives Shopify a working payment method. Nothing is deleted while the payment is sorted out.
</Info>

## Moving to a smaller plan

If the new plan allows fewer automations running at once than you have running, Plan & billing shows **What stays active**.

1. Before the date shown, pick the automations that stay active. If nobody picks in time, the order on the page decides.
2. Select **Confirm what stays active**.
3. What you picked stays active. The rest stops sending until a plan covers it again, and nothing about it is deleted.

Anything that was not kept comes back as soon as your plan covers it again. An automation whose segment or contact list was deleted stays paused even then: restore the segment, or publish a version of the automation without that list, and then resume it.

The same applies to back-in-stock sign-ups when you move to Free with more sign-ups waiting than Free covers. The sign-ups picked to stay active and the oldest keep their alert. The newest above the limit are put on hold and get no back-in-stock alert, and the back-in-stock button on your store stays hidden while the list is full. Held sign-ups keep their consent, and a plan that covers them gives them back.

## Cancel your plan

<Steps>
  <Step title="Start the cancellation">
    In **Plan & billing**, select **Cancel plan…**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Go through the steps">
    On Scale, **Before you go** first offers Pro instead. **What changes** lists what your workspace keeps and loses. **Confirm** asks you to type the name of your plan.
  </Step>
</Steps>

After you cancel, your plan stays active until the end of the period you have paid for. Then your workspace moves to the free plan. Nothing is deleted: your contacts, conversations, templates, campaign history and settings stay. Changed your mind? Before the period ends, select **Keep my plan** in the **Cancel plan** section, which shows it once a cancellation is pending. On a workspace that pays through Stripe, it opens Stripe's billing portal, where you resubscribe. On a workspace that pays through Shopify, it opens the plan chooser, where you choose a plan again.

<Info>
  If your role cannot change or cancel the plan, the page tells you to ask your workspace owner.
</Info>

## WhatsApp message costs

Your plan price does not include WhatsApp messages.

<Note>
  Meta bills your WhatsApp Business account directly for the messages you send, at Meta's current rates; Galantis adds no markup and no usage fees of its own.
</Note>

See [How Meta bills WhatsApp messages](/galantis/marketing/whatsapp/pricing/how-meta-bills) for what Meta charges and when.
