Galantis sends and receives WhatsApp messages through your own WhatsApp Business account. You connect it once, through Meta’s sign-in dialog, and you can create the account on the way.

What Meta asks for

Meta runs the sign-in dialog, and these are its steps as Meta’s Embedded Signup overview describes them (checked 17 October 2026). You:
  • sign in with your Facebook or Meta business login;
  • accept Meta’s terms;
  • give Galantis access to your WhatsApp assets;
  • choose a business portfolio and a WhatsApp Business account, or create new ones;
  • enter and verify your business phone number;
  • enter a display name, which can appear in WhatsApp instead of your number.
Meta reviews the display name. If Meta does not approve it, setup stops and Galantis asks you to edit the name in WhatsApp Manager and start again.

Connect your account

1

Open Connections

Go to Settings → Connections. On the Phone number card, select Connect WhatsApp.
2

Start the setup

Connect WhatsApp Business opens and shows Ready to connect. Select Continue setup, and Meta’s sign-in dialog opens. If the page shows Start setup instead, select that first.
3

Finish Meta's dialog

Complete the steps Meta asks for, above. If you close the dialog early, nothing is connected and you can start again.
4

Let Galantis finish

Back in Galantis, the page moves through Connect your account, Set up your number and Go live while it checks the account, registers the number and subscribes to its updates.
You’re done when the page shows WhatsApp is connected and the connection’s status is Connected.
The setup guide’s first step, Connect WhatsApp Business, opens Settings → Connections (step 1 above). See The setup guide.

If setup stops

Can I still use the number in the WhatsApp Business app?

No, not in this version. Galantis connects through Meta’s standard sign-up, not the variant Meta offers for numbers that stay in the WhatsApp Business app. After you connect a number, it works through Galantis.
Meta sets the rules for a number that is already on WhatsApp. Meta’s Business phone numbers page says a number already in use with WhatsApp cannot be registered unless it is deleted there first.

Add a payment method in Meta

Per Meta, when you connect through Galantis, you must add a payment method to your WhatsApp Business account before you can begin messaging. Meta bills that account directly for the messages you send. Per Meta, without one Meta stops delivering service messages after the free 1,000 a month. See How Meta bills WhatsApp messages.

When you are connected

Connections shows your connection’s status and its Health checks: Access, Business account, Phone number, Message updates, Templates, Catalog and Flows. Each check reads Healthy, Degraded, Failed, Unknown or Does not apply. Until the first checks have run, which happens shortly after you connect, a check reads Not checked. Check now asks for the checks to run again. The setup guide’s step Check your connection health is done once Access and Business account both report healthy. Business account reads Healthy only after Meta has verified the business behind it. Until then it reads Degraded with “The business behind this account is not verified, which limits what you can send.” You complete business verification in Meta, not in Galantis, and reconnecting does not change it. Disconnect stops messages from sending and arriving on the number. Your contacts, conversations and templates stay, and you can connect again at any time.
