How announcement bar works

The announcement bar automatically switches between static and carousel mode based on the number of text slides you add. With a single slide, you can enable dropdown cards for detailed multi-section announcements. With multiple slides, messages rotate automatically at your chosen interval.

Section settings

Block settings

The text slide block is the foundation of all announcement content, offering rich text messaging, dropdown cards, and countdown timers.

Basic content

Enter your announcement message using the rich text editor. This supports bold, italic, links, and formatting.Default message: “Welcome to our store”
Keep announcement text concise—aim for one clear message per slide to maintain readability on mobile devices.

Best practices

Single vs multiple slides

Use one slide with dropdown cards for detailed information. Use 2-3 slides for rotating simple announcements.

Keep it brief

Limit announcement text to one clear sentence. Long messages reduce mobile readability.

Dropdown card clarity

Use dropdown cards when you have 2-3 related announcements that need more context than a single line.

Carousel timing

Set autoplay interval to at least 3 seconds. Faster rotations reduce message comprehension.

Countdown authenticity

Only use countdown timers for real deadlines. Test the end message behavior before going live.

Mobile testing

Always preview on mobile devices. Dropdown cards expand differently on smaller screens.

Common use cases

Use a single text slide announcing “Flash Sale Ends Soon!” with a countdown timer showing the exact deadline. Set timer end message to “Sale has ended” for clarity after expiration.
Enable dropdown cards with one slide. Create three cards: “Domestic Shipping”, “International Shipping”, and “Express Options”. Each card explains policies with a link to detailed shipping information.
Add 2-3 text slides with different offers like “Free Shipping Over $50”, “New Arrivals Available”, and “10% Off First Order”. Set autoplay interval to 4 seconds.
Use a single text slide without dropdown cards for simple messages like “Holiday Hours: Closed December 25-26”. No carousel needed for single important messages.
