Connecting your WhatsApp Business Account (WABA) is the step that activates messaging in Galantis. Until this connection is made, no campaigns, automations, or inbox conversations can send or receive messages. The connection uses Meta’s OAuth flow — you authorize Galantis from inside Meta Business Manager, and Galantis stores the access token securely per workspace.

What this covers

  • Connecting your WABA via Meta OAuth
  • Selecting and registering your phone number
  • Optionally connecting a Meta Catalog access token for product messages
  • Supporting multiple phone numbers per workspace

Connection steps

1

Open WhatsApp Connection settings

In the Galantis dashboard, go to Settings → WhatsApp Connection and click Connect WhatsApp.
2

Authorize in Meta Business Manager

You will be redirected to Meta. Log in with the Meta account that owns your WhatsApp Business Account and grant the requested permissions.
3

Select your phone number

After authorization, Galantis fetches the phone numbers registered on your WABA. Select the number you want to use for messaging.
4

Confirm the connection

Galantis exchanges the OAuth token and stores your credentials. The selected phone number becomes active for sending and receiving messages.
5

Connect a Meta Catalog token (optional)

If you plan to use product messages (SPM, MPM, or Whole Catalog), connect a Meta Catalog access token from the same settings screen. This is not required for standard campaigns or automations.

Multiple phone numbers

Galantis supports connecting more than one phone number per workspace. Each number operates independently and can be used in separate campaigns, automations, or inbox configurations. Additional numbers are added from Settings → WhatsApp Connection.

Verifying the connection

After completing the steps above, confirm your setup:
  • Go to Settings → WhatsApp Connection — the connected number should show as active.
  • Send a test message from the Inbox to confirm outbound messaging works.
  • If using product messages, verify the Meta Catalog token status on the same screen.
Access tokens can expire or be revoked if you change permissions in Meta Business Manager. If messaging stops working, return to Settings → WhatsApp Connection and reconnect to refresh your credentials.
