Installation steps
Find the app in the Shopify App Store
Search for Galantis WhatsApp in the Shopify App Store and click Install.
Review and grant permissions
Shopify will display the permissions Galantis requires. Review them and click Install app to proceed.
Required permissions
Galantis requests the following Shopify permissions during installation. Each permission is tied to a specific platform feature.- Customer & Consent
- Orders
- Products & Collections
- Checkouts
Read and write customers — Required to sync customer contact profiles and marketing consent state into Galantis. Consent status (
marketing_state) is pulled from Shopify and kept in sync via webhook.All permissions are required for the platform to function fully. Denying any permission will disable the feature that depends on it.
Onboarding flow
After installation, the onboarding guides you through:- Connecting your WhatsApp Business Account via Meta OAuth — see WhatsApp Connection for the full walkthrough.
- Selecting your phone number from the numbers registered on your WABA.
- Connecting or creating a Meta Catalog — optional, required only for product messages.
- Inviting team members — optional at this stage; roles can be configured later under Settings.
