Heading and Text
Heading and Text
Heading titles the page (Default: Reset Account Password). Text is the instruction beneath it (Default: “Enter a new password”).
Color scheme
Color scheme
Paints the form card. Default: Scheme 2.
Top spacing, Bottom spacing and Section border
Top spacing, Bottom spacing and Section border
Spacing is None, Small, Medium or Large (Defaults: Medium on top, Large at the bottom). Section border is None, Top, Bottom or Top and bottom (Default: None).
The reset email, link expiry and password rules are managed by Shopify customer accounts. The request form itself lives on the Login page. This template applies to classic customer accounts; new customer accounts sign in with a one-time code and have no password to reset.
Best practices
State the requirement
Mentioning the minimum password length in the Text setting prevents a failed first attempt.
Keep one clear action
The page has a single purpose. Avoid adding sections above or below that distract from the form.
Match the Login card
Use the same color scheme as the Login page so the reset flow feels continuous from request to completion.
Edit the email in the admin
The reset email’s wording is set in the Shopify admin under Settings, then Notifications, not in the theme.
